Heidi Weston Head Coach

Coach Heidi has been swimming for fun her whole life, in fact she can’t even remember learning how. Coach Heidi was 8 when she began competitive swimming after her family moved to Burke in 2009 and they joined Cottontail Swim and Racquet Club. She was on the Cottontail's swim team for the next ten years until she graduated from Lake Braddock Secondary School.
Coach Heidi worked as swim school junior coach for 6 years and spent a summer and winter season as an assistant coach.

Coach Heidi went to Elon University where she studied to be a history teacher and was on the club swim team. During the summers she worked to rebuild and grow Cottontail’s swim school as the Mini Head Coach.

Currently, Coach Heidi spends the school year teaching world history at Justice High School, where she is also an assistant coach of the swim team. Because she just can’t stay away from the pool deck, she also coaches with Nation’s Capital Swim Club (NCAP).

Avery Boyd Assistant Head Coach

My name is Avery Boyd, and I grew up in Alexandria, Virginia. I started swimming with Rolling Hills Swim Club, where I later became an assistant coach. I also spent time swimming with Springboard and swam with NCAP during the school year. I’m now coaching at NCAP as a hybrid age group coach and at Sunday Stroke School!

I’m currently a student at George Washington University, majoring in Political Science and International Affairs. I’m excited to join the team as assistant head coach and help create a supportive and motivating environment for every swimmer. My favorite strokes are backstroke and breaststroke, and I can’t wait to meet everyone and make this summer an awesome one in and out of the pool!

Team Reps

The Hollin Meadows Swim Team is proudly led by a dedicated group of volunteers known as Team Representatives (Team Reps). Team Reps serve as the bridge between the Hollin Meadows Swim Team and the NVSL, and act as the key liaison between the team and the pool.

Lauren will be returning for her sixth season in 2026, and she’s thrilled to be joined by Michelle Tranquilli, who is trading in the wonderful world of concessions to step into the role of Team Rep.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We can’t wait to see you on deck for another great season!
