Barracuda News June 14 - 20

Time Trials are officially in the books!

Thank you to everyone who volunteered, officiated, timed, clerked, ran, set up, cleaned up, and cheered on our swimmers. Hosting our own meet is one of the biggest undertakings of the season, and it truly takes a village. We couldn't have done it without all of you.

It was so much fun watching our swimmers give their best effort in the pool, support their teammates, and kick off the season in true Barracuda fashion. We're excited for what is shaping up to be a fantastic summer!

Time Trials results will be posted at the pool on the bulletin board closest to the women's restroom. You can also access your child’s results in Swimtopia. When checking results if you don’t see a time posted for your child it usually means they DQ’d and the time did not count. We have provided our coaches with a DQ report and they will be working to make corrections.

Action Required: Meet Declarations

Please take a moment to log into SwimTopia and update your swimmer's availability for upcoming meets.

Ft. Hunt Sportsmen Relays – Wednesday, June 24 @ Stratford Landing

This is one of the most unique and fun meets of the summer and an event many swimmers look forward to each year.

Events are relay-only and combine swimmers of different ages and genders. It is a great opportunity for kids to race alongside friends from both Hollin Meadows and neighboring pools.

Please remember to update your swimmer's availability as soon as possible so we can begin creating relay teams.

HM Photographer Needed

Our longtime photographers, Lori and Terry Allen, no longer have children on the swim team but have generously offered to photograph our swimmers and create our end-of-season slideshow one final summer.

We are looking for someone to shadow Lori this season and take over next year. No professional photography experience is necessary—just an interest in capturing Barracuda memories and helping preserve team traditions.

If you are interested, please contact Lauren directly at: [email protected]

We have a busy and exciting week ahead with our first B Meet, the start of morning practices, Parent Happy Hour, and preparations for our first A Meet of the season.

Thank you for everything you do to support our swimmers, coaches, and team. We look forward to seeing everyone on deck this week!

Go Barracudas!

Swimmingly,

Lauren & Michelle
