Final A Meet Information & Lineup for Ft. Hunt Relays- Review ASAP
Hello Barracuda Families,
Attached is the final heat sheet for Saturday's A Meet against Arlington Forest.
Please review the attached heat sheet carefully, as there have been a few changes since the preliminary lineup was sent earlier this week. If you see an issue or have any questions, please contact Lauren and Michelle as soon as possible.
When reviewing the heat sheet, please note that Arlington Forest has an 8-lane pool, so lane assignments may look different than what you are accustomed to seeing at Hollin Meadows or other pools. This is expected and does not indicate an error in the lineup.
Meet Theme: Cops & Robbers 🚔ðŸ¤
Our theme for Saturday's meet is Cops & Robbers!
Pick a side and have some fun with it. Whether you come dressed as a police officer, detective, sheriff, FBI agent, outlaw, bandit, or old-fashioned bank robber, we'd love to see your creativity and Barracuda spirit on display.
Feel free to decorate your cars, wave your Barracuda flags, and help us bring some energy to our first A Meet of the season!
Caravan to Arlington Forest
For those who are new to the team, one of our traditions is to caravan together from Hollin Meadows Elementary School. Participation is completely optional, but many families enjoy traveling together and arriving as a team.
Arlington Forest is approximately 30 minutes from Hollin Meadows.
Caravan Details
- Meet at Hollin Meadows Elementary School: 7:20 AM
- Caravan departs promptly: 7:30 AM
Whether you caravan or drive separately, please plan to meet near the Team Rep parking spaces when you arrive. We will take a team photo and walk into the pool together as a team.
Don't forget to show your Barracuda pride by displaying your car flags or decorating your vehicle with your favorite swim team sayings!
Open Jobs: We need 1 more deck marshal

Ft. Hunt Sportsmen Relays – Wednesday, June 24
Address:
Stratford Landing Pool
2300 Brinitzer Way
Alexandria, VA 22308
The lineup for Sportsmen Relays is also attached.
This is one of the most unique and fun meets of the summer. The meet brings together 12 local swim teams for an evening of relay-only events.
- The meet is not scored.
- Swimmers are selected by the coaches for fun and participation, not based on times.
- Relay teams feature swimmers of different ages and combinations of boys and girls.
- Swimmers can earn ribbons and medals.
- Kids get the opportunity to swim alongside and against many of their friends from neighboring Ft. Hunt area pools.
If your swimmer is listed on the Sportsmen Relays lineup and is unable to attend, please notify us immediately. Relay events depend on every swimmer being present, and one missing swimmer can impact an entire relay team.
Volunteers Needed
If your swimmer is participating in Sportsmen Relays, we ask that your family volunteer to help support the meet.
We currently need:
- 1 Relay Take-Off Judge
- 2 Timers
- 1 Ribbons Volunteer
If you can fill one of these positions, please email Lauren as soon as possible.
Additional information on this event with timing of warmups etc. will be sent out on Sunday morning.
We are looking forward to a fun weekend of swimming and another opportunity for our Barracudas to represent Hollin Meadows both in and out of the pool.
Go Barracudas!
Swimmingly,
Lauren & Michelle
