Thank You for an Incredible 2026 Barracuda Season & Trophy Pickup

Dear Barracuda Families,

As we close out another incredible Barracuda season, we simply want to say thank you.

What makes Hollin Meadows so special isn't just the fast swims or the trophies—it's the people. It's the friendships formed on the pool deck, the cheers from behind the lanes, the older swimmers encouraging the younger ones, and the countless volunteers who make every practice, meet, and event possible. This team truly is a family, and we're so grateful that each of you is a part of it.

Before we wrap up the season, Michelle and I want to express our heartfelt thanks for the incredible kindness and generosity you showed us at the banquet. We were truly overwhelmed by your thoughtful gifts and your kind words. It has been an absolute privilege to serve as your Team Reps and we feel incredibly fortunate to be part of such a supportive and caring community. Thank you for making us feel so appreciated. We love this team, and it has truly been our pleasure to help lead the Barracudas.

A Special Thank You to Sayla

One thing we realized after the banquet is that Michelle and I need to update next year's banquet script to include our Mini Barracuda program! As our team continues to grow, so does our list of people to recognize, and we accidentally left out someone who absolutely deserves our thanks.

A heartfelt thank you to Sayla for the incredible job she did leading our Mini Barracuda program this summer. She created a fun, welcoming environment where our youngest swimmers built confidence, learned new skills, and discovered a love for swimming. Thank you for the patience, enthusiasm, and care you brought to our future Barracudas. We are so grateful for everything you did to make our newest team members feel welcome and excited to be part of the Barracuda family!

Congratulations, All-Star Qualifiers!

Congratulations to our swimmers who qualified for the NVSL Individual All-Star Meet:

  • Quinn Chambers – Boys 9–10 Backstroke
  • Emerson Iannitto – Girls 13–14 Backstroke
  • Rachel Cotton – Girls 15–18 Backstroke
  • Connor O'Neill – Boys 15–18 Butterfly

Best of luck this weekend—we'll all be cheering you on!

Banquet Awards, Trophies & Ribbons

If you were unable to attend the banquet, please stop by the guard shack to pick up your season folder, ribbons, and trophy. Every swimmer—including our Mini Barracudas—received a trophy, so be sure to pick yours up if you weren't there.

Winter Swim

We expect to hear back from Fairfax County soon regarding our Winter Swim lane assignments. As soon as we receive confirmation, we'll open registration and send out all the details.

Interested in Coaching This Winter?

If your swimmer will be entering high school as a freshman or above and is interested in being considered for a coaching position this winter, please contact Lauren at [email protected].

As we close another summer, we're reminded that what makes the Barracudas special isn't measured by wins or times, but by the friendships we've built, the memories we've shared, and the community we've created together. Thank you for making this such a memorable season.

Enjoy the rest of your summer. We hope to see many of you this winter, and we can't wait to welcome everyone back on the pool deck next summer.

Go Barracudas!
